Quantum Quest is my first credited work in children’s animation. Developed as an animated educational short for Trinity College Dublin’s AMBER Centre (with support from the EU, NTTA, Fighting Words, and Quantum Flagship), the film introduces children to the principles of quantum science through playful storytelling and visually engaging, age-appropriate characters.
The Red Mermaid marked my first venture into comic book writing. Conceived as a deliberately short and visually driven story, it served as an exploration of the form in collaboration with lead artist Philip Appley.
Logline
After his estranged brother’s mysterious death, a young father searches his apartment to find answers, only to uncover a cursed videotape that blurs the line between grief, guilt, and the dead demanding he keep watching.
CREATIVE WRITING FOR COMMERCIALS
I wrote the voiceover script for this campaign, created to mark Fad Saoil Saunas’ sponsorship of rising Irish boxing talent Evelyn Coffey. The piece was designed to elevate the brand’s social value by pairing it with a story of determination, discipline, and national pride. Through the narrative voiceover, the film positions Fad Saoil as a champion of emerging Irish talent, creating an emotional connection between the brand and its audience.
