In-House VFX & Creative Development

Jack Quinn frequently produces in-house VFX concepts and test shots to help bring Cassette Vision projects to life, from early ideation through to production-ready material. For the Screen Ireland-backed Irish Amputee Football documentary, he created 3D pre-visualisation sequences and custom Subbuteo-style figures of the players—both to explain the rules in 3D and to create moments of warmth, while subtly highlighting the under-recognition of disability sports.

While not all test or concept pieces make it to the final cut, Jack’s work plays a critical role in pitching, shaping, and refining projects, demonstrating the creative and technical possibilities to collaborators, funders, and clients. His in-house approach ensures Cassette Vision can innovate quickly, experiment boldly, and present fully realized visions that help projects succeed before a frame is officially released.

Just A Girl - The Shona Project

Co-Director | VFX Supervisor | VFX Artist

Jack co-directed and served as the sole VFX artist and supervisor on Just A Girl, a one-shot TVC for The Shona Project. Filmed over two days in carefully chosen outdoor locations and precise times of day, the project required Jack to blend multiple shots seamlessly, including a mix of CGI and live-action elements, some obvious, some imperceptible.

Working under a tight budget and even tighter deadline, he balanced creative vision with technical execution, ensuring the cinematic one-shot maintained its narrative flow, visual cohesion, and emotional impact. From hero cuts to social edits, every element was crafted by Jack himself—a feat that tested patience, problem-solving, and caffeine limits alike.

Sometimes saving the world (or a charity commercial) means doing it all yourself… and somehow making it look easy.

Jane Willow’s Letting You Go

VFX Supervisor | VFX Artist

Jack served as VFX Supervisor and Artist on Letting You Go, Jane Willow’s music video featuring a striking Baphomet-inspired character. The project combined practical effects—a mask and fur costume—with high-end VFX to create a seamless, cinematic performance.

Jack collaborated closely with the costume designer to adjust the eye shapes, allowing for perfect integration of 3D-rendered eyes over the practical mask. The mask was rebuilt digitally, eyes were carefully animated with subtle blinking, and compositing ensured the effect was natural and expressive. His work elevated the production value, giving the video a high-budget, polished feel without compromising the performer’s live-action performance.

Jack directed and animated the stop-motion commercial for Baressential Soap, bringing the brand to life with playful, handcrafted visuals and meticulous attention to detail.
