Red Bull x Tetris: Building a World from Scratch

When Red Bull and Tetris® team up, you know it’s going to be high energy! But when the brief landed with us, it came with an extra challenge: make it feel real, make it feel fast, and… make it happen without actually filming anywhere.

The campaign, produced in partnership with PHD Worldwide, was aimed at college students. Naturally, we wanted to anchor the visuals somewhere instantly recognisable to that audience. So, we set our sights on two of Ireland’s most iconic campuses: UCD and Trinity College Dublin.

There was just one catch: no filming allowed.

Re-creating Reality in CG

With access to the physical locations off the table and no space in the budget for FPV drones, our team decided to build everything entirely in CG. Every tree, building, and brick was done in 3D to replicate the campuses with as much accuracy as we could.

What started as a limitation became an opportunity to play. We could choreograph the impossible camera moves you see it in the final piece.
